Don and Sue Armstrong

Don and Sue Armstrong returned to us in April 2018 after 42 years from a number of pastorates and ministries in West Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Ohio. Pastor Don was our first pastor from 1974 to 1976, back when our church was known as Ronceverte Church of the Nazarene. (We became Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene when we moved to our present Fairlea/Lewisburg site in 2000). He has most recently been a vital part of Truck Stop Ministries, an organization focused on reaching out to truck drivers throughout North America. They are a powerful, loving team dedicated to serving others and bringing people to our Lord Jesus Christ.

Co-treasurer

Gloria Neely

Co-treasurer Gloria Neely (pictured here) and Susan Nutter expertly and professionally fill one of the most challenging positions in any church--overseeing the church's finances. It's a detail-filled, demanding, behind-the-scenes job that requires great attention to precision, but Susan and Gloria handle it with great care and professionalism. Our church finances are in excellent hands due to these wonderful ladies and their dedicated staff of counters and record-keeping personnel.

Sunday School superintendent

Shari Armstrong

Sunday  School is the all-important educational outreach of our church, where we meet weekly for small-group Bible study and grow more deeply in our knowledge of God's Word. Shari Armstrong oversees this vital ministry and, along with our Sunday School Ministries Board, works to assure that we're operating our classes at full efficiency with the best instruction possible.

Nazarene Missions International president

Linda Gascon

Linda serves as president of our local chapter of Nazarene Missions International, helping us stay informed about what the Lord is doing in the 160 countries in which the Church of the Nazarene ministers throughout the world. Linda challenges us to give generously to missions, helping a lost world know the wonders of full salvation in Jesus Christ.

Youth President--Nazarene Youth International

Jennifer Sams

A healthy, active youth group is a must for any body of believers. Here at Greenbrier Valley Nazarene we desire to see all our students come to know Jesus Christ in a powerful, personal way--and to assist them in growing significantly in their faith in Him. Jennifer Sams, president of our local chapter of Nazarene Youth International, oversees the activities and educational opportunities we provide for our youth and helps organize events for service and outreach.

Ladies' Ministries and Children's Ministries Director

Tori Sams

Tori is in charge of our "G.A.L.S." group, which stands for "Growing and Loving Servants." These ladies of our congregation meet and organize to grow in the Lord and to serve Him by serving others. They have meetings every other month at the church and occasionally at other locations. Other events throughout the year include retreats and various holiday gatherings. All ladies of our church are urged to be a part of this fun group--and as always, bring a friend!

Our children's ministries are also under the direction of Tori. We value our children and recognize them as some of our greatest resources and blessing. Tori works to assure that our children are learning and growing through a variety of ministries whose goal is to lead them into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and subsequent growth in their faith.
